In China, Private Scientific and Technological Enterprises are new things with the Reform and Opening-up. Because of their powerful ability in technology innovation and flexible mechanism, Private Scientific and Technological Enterprises play more and more important role in technology progress and technical resources distribution. At present, Chinese Private Scientific and Technological Enterprises are obsessed with severe intellectual drain. High rate of intellectual drain has brought tremendous losses to enterprises and limited their development. Much attention has been paid to this problem now, so it is very important to study intellectual drain and their retention not only in theories but also in practice.The thesis starts from China's brain drain, through case studies and other methods to deeply analyze the characteristics, causes and harm of China's private enterprises brain drain. Then put forward to solve the problem using system analysis, comparative analysis of the way. Finally use the method of case analysis and make the thesis has strong persuasive power.This thesis consists of six chapters below. The first chapter is the preface of the thesis. Research background, research methods and research situation are mentioned. The existing situation, characteristics and negative impacts of it in Chinese Private Scientific and Technological Enterprises are the main contents of the second chapter. In the third chapter, the reasons for intellectual drain in Chinese Private Scientific and Technological Enterprises are analyzed, which contains system cause, salary and welfare cause, enterprise culture, leader cause and etc. Some effective Countermeasures to retain talents are figured out in the forth chapter, which emphasize better system, satisfying salary and welfare, active enterprise culture, bright career future, sentiment devotion, legality restriction and etc. The fifth chapter is a case analysis. The intellectual drains, reform, the improvement of the human resource management system and the effect of Jinghua company are analyzed. The last chapter is the conclusion and its expectation for the future made. It's an important policy to strengthen the recognition of the enterprise for the new employees. The thesis analyses this point in studying the brain drain of private technology enterprises.
