The Research On Knowledge Intensive Services In Taiwan And Its Impact On The Optimization Of The Industrial Structure

A new era of knowledge economy has brought the economic situation in the world a new round of adjustment and upgrade of industrial structure,developing knowledge intensive services has become a common feature of developed countries in the West.With the expanding of world-scale industrial restructuring,the proportion of service sector in GDP is rising.The proportion of knowledge intensive services sector, including telecommunications,financial services,consulting industry,is rising significantly.Furthermore,it plays an increasingly important role in social and economic development.But for Taiwan,facing of the rapidly changing economic situation,the support of the existing industrial structure to the economy is weakening continuously,specifically after the accession to WTO.Taiwan's service industry, which has greatly driven economic growth,is losing an important position.The key reason for this situation is the low level of development and the lack of industrial upgrading of Taiwan's services industry.Currently,Taiwan's economy wants to get out of the difficult situations of slow growth,it needs to solve these problems about industrial structure adjustment and upgrading in fact.It's also a problem about how to create the next wave of Taiwan's economic growth by the developing of knowledge intensive services.And therefore,to research the development of knowledge intensive services in Taiwan and its impact on the optimization of the industrial structure is of great significance at this stage.This article will start by expounding the theories relate to knowledge intensive services and optimization of the industrial structure.Then the evaluation system of knowledge intensive service's impact on the optimization of the industries structure is established.Combined with analysis of the data of knowledge intensive services in developed countries of the world,it concluded that the development of knowledge intensive services can promote the optimization of the industrial structure empirically. As a basis for the evaluation system,it's pointed that the knowledge intensive services in Taiwan could impact on the optimization of the industrial structure through the analysis of development of knowledge intensive services in Taiwan.It shows that, knowledge intensive services are developing direction of optimization of the industrial structure in Taiwan.
