Research On The Relationship Between The Optimization Of Industrial Structure And Economic Growth In Gansu Province

The essential requirement for economic growth is to adjust andoptimize the industrial structure. In recent years, the factor of industrialstructure in economic growth is seriously focused on by scholarsdomestic and foreign. According to their research, the evolution ofindustrial structure and economic growth interact and influence each other.The optimization of industrial structure promotes the economic growth,and the economic growth affect the evolution of the industrial structurealso. The historical experience of countries such as the U.S., Europe andJapan has proven that who can seize the key issues of the optimization ofthe industrial structure, that who can deal well with the relationshipbetween the industrial structure’s optimization and the economic growth,who is likely to win the leading position in world’s fiercely competition.Therefore, the study to the relationship between the optimization ofindustrial structure and economic growth becomes very necessary andmeaningful. As one of the important provinces in Northwest of China,Gansu Province has an important position in the process of stimulatingeconomic growth in the Northwest. So, exploring the relationshipbetween the optimization of industrial structure and economic growth inGansu Province has important theoretical and practical significances.Based on the learning to the results of previous studies, I worked onthe theoretical analysis of the relationship between the optimization ofindustrial structure and economic growth, and verified the relationshipbetween both of Gansu Province through the method of measurementmodel; then calculated Gansu Province’s comparative labor productivity,Explored the consistency of the trend between Gansu Province’seconomic growth and industrial structure optimization through the simpleanalysis, and strived to provide policy advices on promoting the optimization of industrial structure and economic development in GansuProvince.Through the empirical analysis, our conclusions are as follows:From the perspective of the Granger’s Test, firstly, the optimization ofindustrial structure promotes the economic growth in Gansu Province.Secondly, economic growth in Gansu Province also promotes theindustrial structure sophistication. From the perspective of thecomparative labor productivity, Economic growth and industrial structureoptimization in Gansu Province shows the relationship of the samedirection on changing trends.
