Based on the basic theory of performance management we explored how to improve the S bank's performance management, we try to restructure the S bank's new performance management system. First, the basic theory of performance management was stated including performance, performance evaluation, performance management. Then the function of performance management in human resources management was analyzed. And we discussed the status quo of performance management of S bank including the status of human resources management, performance evaluation. Then we pointed out the problems exist in performance management, which include performance management and performance appraisal are only the appearance, indicators are unscientific, irrational and unreasonable assessment methods, lack of performance feedback and interviews, and examination results have not been applied and so on. Finally, the measures to resolve the above problems were proposed including: a clear strategy and business objectives, construct the performance indicator system, strengthen the performance of communication, strengthen the use of performance appraisal results, improve the performance appraisal methods. The dissertation is intended to offer some beneficial suggestions for the reorganize of S bank's performance management.
