The Connection Between New Area And City: Spatial Structure And Administrative System

Since the 1990s, Deng Xiaoping proposed the idea of the development and opening of the Pudong Area of Shanghai, "new areas" appear one by one on territory of China, less than twenty years, there are 95 new areas in 83 large and medium-sized cities. The strategic of new areas is so high during history of cities' development that we must get to research the principle of new area's construction, planning, management, etc for more new areas.The full thesis is divided into six chapters; the main content is as follows:Chapter one is Introduction. Mainly introduced the background of the research background and the construction condition of the new areas in China, summarized the research of new towns in foreign countries and the research of new areas in China that concludes new areas' industry,new areas' administrative system,cooperation of new areas,etc, and thus establish the structure and content of the paper;Chapter two is the submission. Referrence the foreingn research and combine the paper's research content and purpose put forward the implication; compare new area with administrative districts, new area with development areas, new area with new town from the standpoint of name, development strategy, development history ,etc for describing or explaining the condition of new areas in China in detail;Chapter three, four and five is the paper's main part,that mainly discuss the connection of new area and city. Chapter three summit new area's characteristic falling into four spheres,and group the spatial structure by campus, industry, function;Chapter four analyses the connection of new areas and the cities and the affection of the cities' structure, concludes three types : one river (mountain) and two centers type, departing from the center and developing type; group sizes and centripetal type;Chapter five mainly researches new areas' administrative system, which be grouped into assist management type, administrative district-to-be type and administrative district type by administrative organization, and analyses the characters of the three types, then summaries the innovation of the new areas , including management insistence , management organization , management performance and management connection, etc;Chapter six is discussion and direction, summarize and thorium on account of research question, indicates the aspects that I have to study, explains the aspects in composition and statistics.
