The Study On Dingxi Potato Industry Development

"Three agricultural problems" are closely related to national economic development and harmonious society. For six times Document One has emphasized "three agricultural problems" since 2004. Increasing income is a key to deal with "three agricultural problems". Consequently, it has a profound meaning to increase income by researching how to promote potato industry develop with exploring internal potentiality and how to balance profit among different subjects.The paper analyzed the cost-benefit of potato plant, circulation and process in Dingxi with the field survey method, and benefit distribution among peasants, merchants of circulations and manufacturers comparatively. At the same time, it put forward measures to promote potato industry develop and increase income.In plant step, firstly, it proved comparative advantage of Dingxi potato industry with location quotient. The result indicated that planting potato can make good use of comparative advantage compared with not only Gansu province and the whole country, but also other crops, wheat and corn. Secondly, it surveyed, accounted and analyzed cost-benefit with different survey places. At last, it took the factors into consideration which influence potato output with Cobb-Douglas production function. The result found that potato seed, chemical fertilizer and water influenced potato output greatly. And it tried to analyze the best scale of input. Based on this, the main problems were discussed and some measures were developed.In circulation step, taking potato in Guangzhou market as an example, it analyzed circulation cost-benefit and benefit distribution between peasants and merchants, summarized a basic framework about reasonable benefit distribution, and put forward some measures to increase income.In process step, it accounted cost-benefit of potato starch, compared benefit with the peasants', and pointed out the problems and measures.At last, it put forward some measures to promote reasonable benefit distribution among peasants, merchants and manufactures, and increased income based on analyzing cost-benefit of planting, circulation and process.
