The financial crisis not only affected the United States but also swept the world.In 2008,the China's economic growth declined rapidly and there ware unprecedented challenges about the employment issues.Employment is the foundation of the people's livelihood.In the special period,employment is related to the immediate interests of all the works,related to China's economic growth and sustainable development,related to the social stability and the harmony of the society,related to the goal of building well-off society and realizing modernization.Affected by the financial crisis,millions of migrant workers return home in China. In rural areas,there are so many rural surplus labor needed to be transferred for work.In addition, there are millions of graduates need employing in the college and secondary school.Xinjiang is no exception.This paper analyzes the problem on the basis of people's living problem and the stability of society in Xinjiang.First,it analyzes the status of employment in Xinjiang from the view of employment scale,unemployment scale,ratio of participating in working and employment mode.Second,it studies the influence of factor about employment problem in Xinjiang which include population structure,science and technology,industrial structure, Xinjiang's employment institution,macro-economic policy,then find out the sticking point of pressure of employment in Xinjiang and point out the strategies consisted of six aspects to overcome them.This study is significant to the establishment of strategy of Xinjiang's economic development,sustainable development of Xinjiang's economy and the achievement of goal about building a harmonious society put forward by the eleventh five-year plan.
