Research On MICE Industrial Chain

MICE tourism can improve the utilization of city resources, generate huge economic benefits, and has caught worldwide attention. However, the MICE of China's is still in its infancy stage, the two industries - tourism and exhibition industry loosely, that constrained the overall development of MICE. It's necessary to reinforce the researches on the MICE industry chain, and to expansion the linkage between Exhibition industry and tourism industry. Main contents and results are as follows:(1)By Studying the industrial chain theory, as well as the operating model of the exhibition industry and the tourism industry, it builds a MICE industrial chain structure and discerns the essential quality of MICE industrial chain.(2)It builds a research framework of MICE industrial chain with the stakeholder theory, identifies major industries related to MICE, and then evaluates the important degree of these related industry with PATTERN law, divides the related industries into three echelons according to the important degree. It provides a theoretical basis for constructing the MICE industrial chain.(3)It establishes the conceptual model of industrial Convengence through analyzing the convergence basis and process of the exhibition industry and the tourism industry, to analyze the basis and countermeasures of developing MICE industry. On the basis, it focuses on the convergence cause and approaches of the exhibition industry and the tourism industry . (4) Based on theoretical study, taking Chengdu as an example, it analyzes the characteristics and restricting factors of the MICE Industrial chain, and puts forward to some methods to optimize the MICE Industrial chain of Chengdu.
