Convention&Exhibition industry is an emerging industry in the process of economic globalization with a strong effect of economic concentration and diffusion. Since China's reform and opening up,this industry has recently developed rapidly from scratch to a big size and has become a new growth point that drives tourism. With its rapid development in urban areas, various tour-ism-related enterprises and cities attach more and more importance to MICE tour-ism. The development of Convention &Exhibition industry promotes the construc-tion of urban infrastructures and the adjustment of industrial structures, and ex-pands the influences of the city, etc. Therefore, in order to develop Chengdu's MICE tourism better, this paper focuses on accurately grasping the behavioral characteristics of its main consumers-the exhibitors, identifying target markets, de-signing MICE tourism products better and recognizing the emphasis and problems that exist in the development of urban MICE tourism.The full text is divided into seven parts.Part 1 is the Introduction. Explain the research background, significance, con-tent and methods. It is the main line of technology.Part 2 is the relevant research at home and abroad. Sum up the domestic and international MICE tourism. Part 3 is the theoretical study. Discussed the MICE tourism, the interactive re-lationship between tourism and Convention &Exhibition industry and the theory of satisfaction, as the basic for the latter qualitative and quantitative research.Part 4 is the study to the regional overview. Outlines the current situation of MICE tourism in Chengdu.Part 5 is the investigation and research. Through the on-site investigation of the 11th International Motor Show, the 9th Western China International Economy and Trade Fair and 2009 Sugar and Wine Fair in Chengdu, I inspect the humanistic characteristics of exhibitors, the characteristics of product demand, the characteris-tics of consumption structure and the satisfaction evaluation of MICE tourism. At last I elaborate their relationship with MICE tourism.Part 6 is the approaches of development. I present the problems and ap-proaches of MICE tourism in Chengdu based on the researches of exhibitors'cha-racteristics.Part 7 is the concluding part. I carrys on the summary .At last summarize the lack of this study.
