Trade conflicts between China and the US are most diversiform and typical among all the trade conflicts aiming at China. It has become a critical problem to research the Sino-US trade conflicts and to find the corresponding solution through exploring the reasons of the Sino-US trade conflicts in order to eliminate or reduce the conflicts, maintain and develop favorable political and economic relation with the US, and improve China's position in the world political and economical stage.On the basis the related theories and research papers on Sino-US trade conflicts, this dissertation reviews the overall conditions of Sino-US trade conflicts during the past years and sums up their forms and main characteristics.This dissertation tries to initiate a research on the influence factors of Sino-US trade conflicts through establishing a regression model and an equilibrium trade protective power model. It has found that the trade imbalance between China and the US plays a critical role when the US creates trade friction with China. The American government will make a compromise decision on choosing trade protective scale, considering the interests of various groups such as the consumers, multinational corporations, groups pro and against free trade etc..This dissertation also investigates various economic effects of trade conflicts causing to both countries with theoretical and empirical analyses. Finally, practical suggestions on how to cope with Sino-US trade conflicts to minimize the negative effects are given.
