The Study On Spatial Flowing Mode In Domestic Tourist Flow Of Lanzhou

Tourist flow is the interaction form between the origins and destinations of tourists. Tourist flows, going from the origins to the destinations, feature the continual spatial congregation and expansion and combine the origins and the destinations. The volume of domestic tourism worldwide is estimated by the WTO (World Travel Organization) to be about ten times greater than international tourism. Despite the magnitude of this activity, little systematic research has been undertaken into domestic tourist flows.Whereas urban areas are not only the main origins of tourists but also the main destinations, in view of this, this paper regards domestic tourist flow of Lanzhou city which still is the transportation hub of North-west now and used to be the famous"tea-house trade"and"trading center"as the"Silk Road"in ancient times as the subject of studying, according to the investigation of tourist market, collecting data and other relevant materials with quantitative analysis method to probe into the rule of Lanzhou domestic tourists flow and to try to reveal spatial congregating and expanding rules and systems. Besides, the article suggests tourism development strategy in different regions with different scales, with an aim to construct the basic framework and spatial systems of regional tourist flows, to find out their action rules and provide theoretical contributions to tourism marketing, regional tourism planning and tourism development strategy.This article consists of seven chapters. Chapter 1 explains the background of the title, research significance, research approaches and research ideas. Chapter 2 discusses the concept of tourist flow and its character, influential factors, and summarizes the general patterns of regional tourist flow after dissecting various patterns. Chapter 3 analyzes the current conditions on tourism resources and developments of tourism industry in Lanzhou and the areas around it. Chapter 4 examines the action features of tourist flows from the perspectives of population characteristics and motives of tourists, and provides the different consuming and sojourn rules of different tourist flows. Chapter 5 describes the rules of spatial allocation of Lanzhou domestic tourist origins with the traveling space using curve, and studies the spatial distribution and changes in Lanzhou city as well as leaving it. Chapter 6 explores the connotation of tourist flows'congregation and expansion, and analyzes the rules of spatial congregating and expanding of domestic tourist flow in Lanzhou city, on the base of which discloses the driving systems of urban tourist flows'congregation and expansion. Chapter 7 concludes the full text, and answers the question which is proposed in the introduction, and proposed the regional tourism developmental strategy of Lanzhou, future tasks and orientation of this study.
