Agricultural land Gradation is the important part of the new land resource researching, the method is on the basis of "the rules of the Gradation of farming land" issued by the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources, and is in accordance with the stable land factors which constitute land quantity, appraising the natural and economic property of land, evaluating the diversity of quantity comprehensively, and dividing its grade. With the thought of the amount of data in the Agricultural land Gradation, in this paper, we have used the technology of GIS,data base and map-making in the gradation. Drawing support from MAPGIS, we have took Pingli county as an example to take practice of Agricultural land Gradation, we first defined technical route of gradation, then we founded the basic data base of Agricultural land Gradation, and finally we have finished the Gradation, and at the same time, we analyzed the area distribution and space distribution of the gradation result. Proved by the practice, we have accelerated the process of work and enhanced precision of work with the strong data handle capability and attribute base management capability of MAPGIS.The most basic tool and the most efficient former of loading and transmit information is map, in this paper, we take MAPGIS as map-making platform, have made monographic map and found achievement base, which can show the distribution of farming land's coefficient district and grade directly, and is convenient for people to inquire about the information of the natural condition, area, grade, and so on. Therefore, we can say that using GIS can make the course of Agricultural land Gradation simple, and make the achievement of gradation object.
