Oil and natural gas resources are the basic national energy, oil-gas industry is a pillar of national economy. The ecological environment of oil-gas fields is the environmental basis for the development of oil-gas industry, so its sustainable development is a matter of concern to the sustainable development of oil-gas resources. China is a country rich in oil-gas resources, whereas per-capita share of resources is below the world average. For a long time, in order to obtain the oil-gas resources urgent for the national development, predatory development and extensive management model has resulted in the gradual deterioration to the ecological environment of oil-gas fields, which not only hindered the sustainable development of the ecological environment but also constrains the sustainable use of oil-gas resources, thus becoming a bottleneck for economic development. As a result, the research on the environmental damage in the production process and sustainable ecological environment is of practical significance to the coordinated development of ecological environment and oil-gas resources. The thesis adopts the research methods of combining theory with practice together with a comprehensive analysis, and develops in a logic structure as: Description- Analysis-Summary- Integration.Firstly, the thesis expatiates the theoretical foundation of the sustainable development of oil-gas resources—the theory of ecological civilization and the theory of sustainable development. Theory of ecological civilization is the ideological foundation of sustainable development and spiritual support. Ecological sustainable development is a reflection of civilization itself. which, by grasping the meaning of the ecological environment. Demonstrated that the ecological environment and sustainable development of oil and gas resources of the inherent dialectical relationship between identity, further clears the significance of the sustainable development of oil-gas resources. Secondly, the thesis focuses on the present state of the ecological environment of oil-gas fields in our country, elaborating on the impact of the destruction and pollution in soil environment, water environment, atmospheric environment, the marine environment, biological diversity on sustainability of oil-gas resources. By this analysis, the thesis maintains that the unpleasant state of our country's ecological environment of oil-gas fields mainly resulted from such aspects as—the absence of the main body in environmental protection, shallow-rootedness of environmental awareness, the absence of utilitarian and eco-ethics, predatory development and extensive management, ecological protection system defects in legislation, as well as the negative impact of the development of oil and gas resources of the city on the ecological environment. On this basis, this thesis, in accordance with the ecological civilization theory, puts forth measures for achieving the sustainable development of oil-gas fields: Firstly, to strengthen ecological and environmental protection propaganda and education and thus integrate the concept of ecological civilization. Because of the ecological environment for sustainable development from an active awareness of ecological civilization mature. Concept of ecological civilization is only a full understanding of the ecological system in the development of the law, respect for the process of natural law has been continuously strengthened. In addition, to improve the environmental protection institutions, mechanisms and policies; to improve environmental protection laws and regulations;to enhance the level of support for environmental science and technology; to develop circular economy. These methods are the ecological environment of oil and gas fields to achieve sustainable development in an effective way. This thesis reflects the past oil-gas-resource-development act from an ideological perspective. And by integrating the theory of ecological civilization and the theory of sustainable development, it puts forth macro and useful methods to resolve the issue of the ecological environment of the oil and gas fields, so that the ecological environment of China's oil-gas fields can get on a path of sustainable development provide constructive comments.
