Research On The Further Development Of Rural Tourism In Xinjiang

Rural tourism in China began from 1970s and developed at the late 1990s. Because of the development of economics, revenue and consumer structure, rural tourism was on the rise in our country. The rural tourism has the vital significance for constructing the harmonious society and socialism new countryside.Xinjiang is rich in rural tourism resources. As a result, rural tourism started earlier and made progress steadily. During the process of exploiting and using, there are many problems, such as absence of scientific planning, a single model, similar products, insufficiency of human resources, lack of effective protection measures, and so on. And the gaps of research on the rural tourism theory still exist. These problems should be urgently solved that how to further develop Xinjiang rural tourism, to promote competitive ability of rural tourism destinations, to achieve sustainable development.Through a great deal of material collection and personal investigation, Dushi Resort Village, as an important destination of Xinjiang rural tourism, is selected as a studying spot. Based on the survey of Xinjiang rural tourism development and discussion on further development theory, some measures are proposed to accelerate further development of Xinjiang rural tourism, relating to the empirical research on Dushi.There are six parts in this paper.Part one: introduction. First the author analyzes the background of rural tourism,concludes the research situaition of rural tourism home and abroad, then elaborates this paper's research goal, the significance and design the research technique and the technical route.Part two: basic theory of rural tourism. The paper makes some research on what priciples the rural tourism should follow, what can affect its development, and its main development models.Part three: the research on rural tourism further development theory. First of all, the paper analyzes the definition and intention of rural tourism further development. Then take the experience culture theory, the RMP development theory, the cultural marketing theory as well as the sustainable development theory as rural tourism further development of the theoretical support to demonstrate its suitability theoretically. Ultimately, through the product development, the market further development, the destination construction of rural tourism, the paper builds the system of rural tourism further development.Part four: the development situation of rural tourism in Xinjiang Autonomous Region. First, the paper analyzes development process and main development models of Xinjiang rural tourism, then it concludes both advantages and existing problems during the rural tourism development in Xinjiang.Part five: empirical research on Xinjing rural tourism, taking Dushi Resort Village as an example. The paper first introduces the development situation of Dushi, then evaluates its tourism resources, last analyzes the total planning of its rural tourism further development.Part six: suggestion and measures to further development of rural tourism in xinjiang. According to the problems of rural tourism development in Xinjiang, this part puts forward the proposals for the sustainable development of rural tourism in Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
