Strategies Of Cow Raising Industry In Taian

As an important sign of animal breeding industury as well as agricultural development of a nation, the development of dairy cattle breeding industry is also a food-saving, high efficient and high industrial linkage industry. Since the reform and openning, dairy breeding has gradually become a focus in the agriculture development, and it has played a more and more important role in promoting the agriculture structure adjustment, in increasing farmers'income and in building up citizens'physical conditions. It comes to be a vital industry closely related to domestic economic and social development. After the year 2003, with the implementation of"Project of Enriching People through Milk Industry", the cow raising industry has reached a rapid development stage, which has produced a postive effect on the regulation of rural economic structure, increase of farmers'income and improvement of rurual and urban dietary pattern.Based on the former reseaches, the thesis makes a contrast of the present cow raising development between home and abroad, and analyzes why domestic dairy breeding is falling behind through historic analysis and comparison. The reasons include the low coverage of high quality cow breed, backward mode of production, low level of yield per unit, low quality of raw milk and low level of cattle raising technology and management. On the above basis and from the local reality, the article comprehensively analyzes the cow cattle raising in Taia. It summerizes the current situation of dairy breeding in Taian and analyzes the constraining problems of cow raising concerning capital, market and land use, such as low quality of cow, low management of breeding, lag in social service system and imcompleteness of linkage between farmers and enterprises.Finally, it puts forward a series of countermeasures to solve the problems. Some are to be taken by cow cattle culturists, and others require the involvement of the government.Nevertheless, the cow breeding issue in Taian involves a long process and some constraining factors can not be get rid of only after the problems beyond cow breeding industry are solved and it requires further reseach in the future.
