Study On Breeding And Extension Of Quality Dairy Cattle In Tianshui Of Gansu

Breeding and extension of quality dairy cattle introduced from abroad in Tianshui of Gansu was established by forerunner the practical production technology and equipments, aim at Tianshui milk source strain and short of breed , to provide Holstein and serves of feeding for sustainable and stable native livestock husbandry and economic. It was in charge of livestock farming bureau of Tianshui and carried out in high- tech foundation.The project construction scales and contents as following: 1)Building the embryo transfer center of 180 m~2 including the embryo-gathering room, the experimental research lab., the storage room and so on, in which 10 instruments were disposed and total 3300 embryos of high quality were produced; 2) Developing nucleus herd of dairy cattle: plan to achieve nucleus herd of 550 dairy cattle after 5 years by purchasing cows of quality dairy cattle and self-reproducing. The main buildings included ox-stalls, sports field and other buildings of total 22490 m~2, in which 990 instruments were disposed and total 3300 t whole milk were produced per year ; 3) Improving milk products processing plants which building area reached 340 m~2 including renewing the production line of yoghurt, building 3 milking bails and 10 selling bails, extending workshops and adding 6 equipments of analysis and storage according to the equipment conditions of processing plants, the consumer market of milk products, the raw milk producing conditions; 4) The methane engineering construction including building a gathering-water pool of 20 m~3, a methane tank of 600 m~3, a storage pool of 1200 m~3 and a storing-gas pool of 200 m~3 by the environmental protection methods, purchasing 11 equipments, constructing a model base of cultivation and a standardized housing-estate of feeding, and raising a batch of feeding household in order to provide raw milk for workshops. The above was the first-stage construction project.The final results of the project in a year would produce 3300 embryos of high quality, 180,000m~3 methane and 5100 t whole milk including 2100 t sterilize milk, 1050 tons yoghurt and 450 t fancy milk ,sell 220 bull calves, 90 finished dairy cattle and 110 eliminating dairy cattle.The construction time and the economic benefits time of the project would last for 2 years and 15 years, respectively. The total fund was RMB$ 1.61022×l0~7 including RMB$ 1.49694×10~7 construction fund, RMB$ 2.592×10~5 fund interest and RMB$ 8.736×10~5 floating fund, which total fund would result from the state invest of RMB$ 4×10~6, the local invest of RMB$ 2×10~6, the bank loan of RMB$ 5×10~6, and the self-organization fund of RMB$ 5.1022×10~6. The total finance appraisal of the item would be RMB$ 2.0371×10~7 of the marketing income in the economic benefits time, RMB$ 1.37136×10~7 of the total cost, RMB$ 1.2222×10~6 of the average yearly sell-tax, RMB$ 1.7936×10~6 of the yearly income tax, RMB$ 3.6416×10~6 of the yearly net profit. The internal profit rate would be18.92% after deducting the income tax. The finance net income fund would be RMB$ 7.2449×10~6. The recovery time of floating invest would be 9.30 years.Social benefit has being achieved after the project finished. 1) Promoting bio-technology used widely in livestock husbandry and promoting rural economic prosperity;2) Enhancing farming level of the native farmer. 3) Driving the development of relative industry. 4) Resolving the problem of employment, guaranteeing social stability. 5) Meeting the demand of market.The aim of the project is clear and definite, which accord with the policy of advantage industry and adjust national agricultural construction supported by nation, developing the advantage industry and increasing farmer income. The investment construction, scale and technique design of the project was reasonable. Funds and supplies was guaranteed efficiently. The project management system was perfect. The economic and social benefits was significant and have no bad influence on environmental protection, so the project is feasible .This project which approved by Gansu finance department was carried out in plan in November 2003. The whole work progress smoothly.
