In recent years, our country's income distribution pattern has changed dramatically along with China' s economic and social continuous development. Egalitarian distribution of income has passed, along with the deepening of economic reforms, China' s income gap is also gradually expanding. Income distribution gap is the focus of the study in economic circles, and also a number of people are concerning about the problem with high degree. If income distribution gap is too large in urban residents, it' 11 not only have a negative impact on economic growth and investment, but also will cause a number of low-and middle-class' s difficulties in human capital investment. It' 11 result in a long-term backward of development in human capital, and income gap between urban residents will expand further. It' ll form "Matthew Effect" on income distribution and human capital investment.Now income distribution gap between urban residents in China is growing, and human capital investment is increasingly uneven, so it' s essential to study about the situation and the reason of income gap between urban residents, as well as the development trend of investment in human capital. It has important significance to study the impact of income distribution gap between urban residents on human capital investment. It is also meaningful for our country' s sustainable and stable economicgrowth and social stability. At present, research on this issue both at home and abroad is mostlyconcentrated on the human capital investment' s effect on incomedistribution. Despite there is many differences in research direction andconcrete results, but they basically formed a consensus: Investment inhuman capital has a considerable impact on income distribution. Theperspective of this paper will focus on the impact of the distributionof income gap between urban residents on investment in human capital.This article will analyze the income gap between urban residents in ourcountry. With the use of the statistical data, it pays particular concernto the relative changes in income distribution of different levels ofurban residents. In this context, I'll study the situation anddevelopment trend of investment in human capital for urban families, andanalyze income gap' s impacts on human capital of different sectors ofurban households. I' ll make economic analysis with empirical method.Through qualitative and quantitative studies, it' s proved that theincome distribution gap for urban residents is indeed growing. It has anobvious impact on human capital investment, particularly on investmentin education . Our government and other departments, social organizations,should take measures to stop the gap to widen and a balance the humancapital investment.
