With the development of market economy, the competition between enterprises is growing. And the increasing labor costs and raw material costs also increase the survival pressure of enterprises. For the manufacturing enterprises to reduce the cost and to improve the output has become the main way to survive in this competitive environment. Lean production is a kind of effective management methods which were introduced to China, and it soon spread in the enterprises. Many enterprises enhance their competitiveness and create greater profits by applying lean production. Though Company of SH as a representative of the hardware manufacturing enterprise has got a great development in the past 20 years, there are still a lot of problems on the production management way, which seriously restrict the development of enterprises. Applying lean production management way to change the current situation of the enterprise becomes a better choice for company of SH.This paper first takes the company of SH as the research object, and analyzes the problem of company of SH with the theory of lean production and and industrial engineering in the production process. The problems include poor fundamental management of the sit, unreasonable production process low rate of equipment utilization and irregular production preparation. Then according to the existing problems and makes the improving scheme of the following.(1) Firstly analyzes the fundamental management of company of SH’s production site, Then creates a good external environment for the implementation of lean production by the implementation of "6S" management and visual management.(2) Then optimizes the company of SH’s assembly production process to improve the production process. Implement "Y" type line production mode by merging 8 production lines to 4 production lines, and keeping the Assembly line continuous. Analyze the improved production line with Production line balance theory. Split, merge, rearrange the workstations to equilibrium the workstation working hours by the principle of ECRS.(3) Implement the scheme of lean equipment using and lean material quantity setting to ensure the process of production smoothly. Optimize man, machine, material, method, environment of the equipment with the theory of lean production. Build the model of lean material quantity setting, and then get the best quantity of preparing material to ensure the need of material for production, and reduce the inventory cost at the same time.Using ED simulation software structure production line model, Simulation the production process improved. Prove the improved scheme is feasible to improve the production efficiency, reduce inventory and production cost based on the analysis of simulation results...
