The Research On Development Strategy Of Medical Tourism Of Xi'an

The economic crisis which triggered by the US sub-prime crisis affected the world's economy badly. Because of the high Export Dependency Ratio, the export industries especially the manufacturing department of our country was hit hard, then caused serious influences on our country's economy. In order to promote the sustainable development of our economy, the central government took accelerating transformation of development mode and structural adjustment as the main development direction, proposed to develop service industry vigorously and to accelerate industrial upgrade. At present, the tourism industry is the bright spot in the service industry,our government attaches great importance to the development of it and advocated to cultivate it as a strategic pillar industry of national economy and modern service industry. As a big tourist city, Xi'an is rich in tourism resources; the tourism revenue in GDP has been more than 10% over the years. Tourism has become one of the pillar industries in Xi'an and occupies an important position in Xi'an national economy. However, with the development of society and people's attitudes change, travel demand is also undergoing rapid changes; the tourism revenue growth of Xi'an slows year by year. The tourism industry needs innovation to keep sustainable development. At present, the most notable way of tourism industry's innovation and development is medical tourism.This paper took medical tourism as its research object, analysed its development status quo/ effect/motivation and key factors, and then according to the actual situation of Xi'an, discussed how to develop medical tourism of it.Firstly, this paper introduced the related knowledge of medical tourism, analysed its development status quo at home and abroad. Secondly, with the introduction of the social network model of medical tourism and correlation analysis with SPSS, this paper made a more comprehensive analysis on the effects which the medical tourism brings to the destinations. Thirdly, with the analysis of the centrality of social network model of medical tourism, the driving factors and key factors of medical tourism were analysed. Finally, based on the analysis above, according to the advantages and disadvantages of Xi'an, explored the development strategy of medical tourism in Xi'an from aspects such as government support, cooperation, hospital accreditation, publicity, education, etc.
