In recent years, with the sustained rapid development of national economy, power plants must ensure the continuing high level of energy supply; and coal supply constraints makes increasingly sharp rise in coal prices. Thermal power companies are in a quite passive situation to ensure a reasonable profit margin.Electricity is the indispensable necessity of life energy. One must ensure that no coal shortage During the Power generation process to ensure the continuous production; and energy can not be stored, but immediately be on sale in Internet right after production. To this end, power plant must buffer and regulate through a reasonable level of fuel in inventory. However, increasing the fuel inventory can guarantee the safety and production of electricity, but high inventory holding costs will undoubtedly increase the cost of power generation business spending, reduce the flow of funds, thus affecting the profitability of power generation companies. Therefore, to decrease the supply of fuel power generation business logistics costs must control the fuel inventory reasonably. This paper analyzes two aspects:the cost of power plant fuel logistics and inventory control, summarizing the characteristics of power plant fuels and fuel inventory logistics problems. Then it analyses fuel prices as the main economic spending power plant and the impact of guaranteeing the stock and reducing the cost. Using the statistics of coal prices in recent years, with the autoregressive moving average model, the paper predicts the price of coal in 2010. Combined with goal programming and genetic algorithm design of minimum total cost of fuel inventory model and the monthly change in coal prices as known, solve the multi-supply point of coal corresponding to the purchasing volumes, purchasing batches and the arrival time inventory control. Finally, the actual X power plant's parameters data are used to analyze the thinking of the practical feasibility of inventory control, offering an analyzing pattern for the power plant to reducing inventory costs, and increasing profits...
