In recent years, rural development is gaining more and more attention. The China's economy has been affected by the impact of global financial crisis of 2008. To maintain a sustained and healthy development of national economy, the rural area should develop well first. The 17th national congress of the communist party of China and the national Eleventh Five-Year Plan has put the revitalization of the logistics industry in an important position. What's more, the "logistics industry restructuring and revitalization plan" takes the development of rural logistics as one of the nine key projects. The development of logistics in rural areas has achieved some results. But overall, the rural logistics theoretical study and practical experience is not enough, and the infrastructure to be strengthened. Development of rural logistics is very necessary and feasible. Rural logistics network system is one of the most important forms to develop rural logistics.Nanyang, with vast land and a great agricultural population, is located at southwest of Henan province, China. It is a typical of rural areas, with three types of terrain, mountains, plains and hills. Taking Nanyang for example to construct rural logistics network system is exemplary. This paper aimed to construct a reality respected rural logistics network system and to direct the activities of rural logistics practice.The point views and the main contents are as follow. Firstly, study the status quo of Nanyang, point out that the biggest obstacle to development of rural logistics network system is urban and rural areas "dual" structure of logistics, and summarized the importance of logistics in rural areas. Secondly, analysis elements and contents of logistics network system, construct a network system with three platforms, two operators and two functional departments. Thirdly, research rural logistics network optimization models and algorithms. Four auxiliary models are proposed, and a rural logistics model is given based on the real road network with the shortest path. Research and improve the K-means algorithm based on logistics distribution. Dijkstra and DWC algorithm are taken use, and a new improved algorithm is proposed. Finally, according to the actual situation in Nanyang, collecting various data, using Mapinfo software to simulate road network, programming with Matlab software, logistics network optimization is implemented.The main contribution of this paper is that Nanyang rural logistics network system is constructed and the Nanyang logistics network is optimized. The rural logistics network system contains three platforms, two operators and two functional departments. The optimization result gives the location of distribution centers and range. The optimization is effective and achieved its purpose.
