Study On The Contribution Of Yangtze River Shipping Channel To The Regional Economic And Social Development

Yangtze River areas has the richest water resources in China, after coming into the new century, the Yangtze River shipping channel construction and development have made remarkable achievements. Its delivery size is far ahead of other navigable rivers in the world, and it makes a huge contribution to the social and economic development. Further exploitation and scientific development of Yangtze River shipping channel is becoming a hot research field. The synergy effect and correlation analysis between Yangtze River shipping and economic and social development is an important prerequisite in this field.Start with the developing situation, this paper discusses the relevance of Yangtze River shipping and the economic development of its drainage area, and analyzes the comprehensive competitiveness of Yangtze River shipping channel. Forecast the transportation scale of demand with regression analysis method, output coefficient, elastic coefficient, time series and grey model. And combine qualitative and quantitative methods, analyze and predict the structure of Yangtze waterway transport demand. Based on the production and income approach, and input-output approach, it discusses and forecasts the economic contribution of the Yangtze River. Furthermore, an intensive study of Yangtze River Shipping development and regional economic synergy is come out.Through the qualitative and quantitative analysis, we can see the comprehensive competition superiority of Yangtze River shipping channel, and its contribution to the economic and social development of the region. On this basis, prospect the contribution of the Yangtze River shipping channel, and put forward countermeasures and suggestions to make full use of its important role in the national economy, and provide reference for relevant policy-making departments.
