Inland waterway transport is a basic modes of transportation,and it plays an important role in promoting the economic.The Yangtze river basin is one of the most developed area in our country,it is also one with the most potential for growth.As the state council approved the development plan of the urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river in early April 2015,the urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river become a rising star in the Yangtze river economy belt.Meanwhile,as one of the most important aspects of the comprehensive transportation system,the Yangtze river shipping plays an indispensable role in promoting the free flow of factors of production and the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure in the basin, and it greatly promoted the economic development.In the planning, the urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river will become the fourth pole of the growth of the economic in China, and the Yangtze river shipping will make a great contribution to promote the economic development of the urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river.This paper studied the interaction between the development of the shipping of Yangtze river and the economy,introduced the current situation of the development of the city clusters along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River shipping and economy,analysised the impact on the development of urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river by the developming of shipping,discussed the various potential potential impact on the economic by the Yangtze river shipping,and put forward a bit of countermeasures related to the Yangtze river shipping development.
