The Yangtze River Delta as one of the most economically active, the most advanced productive forces and the most powerful in science and technology regions attracts a lot of people which come from other regions. The Yangtze River Delta has become one of the most attractive regions for labor force. However the problem of segmentation of the labor market is also very serious in this region. Systematic obstacles are the main reason which causes the segmentation of the labor market in The Yangtze River Delta, so the only way to solve this problem is to cancel household registration status symbol. But in the reform process, we are faced with the labor force which comes from other regions'uneven distribution. This gives the big city as Shanghai a great pressure.Chapter 1 describes the structure and the significance of this article and some related theory, on the segmentation of the labor market. Chapter 2 based on the status of the segmentation of the labor market of The Yangtze River Delta, tries to make a deep discussion about the systematic obstacles appear in the labor market in the Yangtze River Delta through the segmentation theory of labor market (LMS). In Chapter 3, we first made a research on industry structure and then found the reason for the labor force which comes from other regions'uneven distribution is the unreasonable industry structure. So Chapter 4 point that the key point to solve the problem is to build the new industry structure with the theory of the regional division of work, at the same time to create a new multi-level labor demand. So with the labor market policy the workforce can be guided to some small cities which have more resource for the workforce to settle down. In this case we can eliminate the systematic system caused by the segmentation of the labor market step by step and set up an unified and multi-level labor market. At last Chapter 5 give the government some suggestions on how to build an unified and multi-level labor market in Yangtze River Delta Area.
