The Research On The Willingness, Behavior And Their Influence Factors About Public Participation In GMP Safety Management

The article analysis that the internal mechanism and the status quo of safety management GM food from the perspective of public participation. Through the empirical investigation in the Hongshan District of Wuhan City, the article multipurpose use description analysis and measurement model to demonstrate a series of influence factors of public participation in safety management of genetically modified food, and put forward suggestion of driving public participation in safety management. It is conducive to promote the public understand science and realize the economic, environmental and social benefits of GM food, and build socialist harmonious society.The article is divided into five parts.PartⅠ: introduction. It includes research background, purpose and significance of topics, domestic and international literature review, research design, overview of the study area and sample.PartⅡ: theoretical basis. Involved in this paper the theoretical basis, that is, theory of planned behavior, stakeholder theory, rational choice theory and the theory of public participation are discussed.PartⅢ: the analysis on the current situation of the willingness and behavior to public participation in GM food safety management .From the empirical research, we find that the public have strong sense of participation. The intrinsic motivation to drive public participation in genetically modified food safety management is interest. On the whole, the public cognitive level is not high, such as genetically modified food, safety management of genetically modified food and public participation. So it leads to behavior of public participation is insufficient, level of public participation is low, ways of public participation is simply, channel of public participation is narrow, effect of public participation is bad.PartⅣ: the analysis on the influencing factors of the willingness and behavior to public participation in GM food safety management .The public who have different age, education, biological knowledge, political identification, etc.have significant differences in willingness and behavior of taking part in the safety management of GM food. main influencing factors willingness to public participation in the safety management of GM food are age, education, biological knowledge, channel, policy, information; main factor influencing behavior of public participation are education, biological knowledge, channel and policy, information.PartⅤ: conclusions and policy recommendationsAt present. Public participating in genetically modified food safety the management still has some defects. So the paper argues that the following measures could be taken to promote public participation in safety management of GM food: such as, raising public awareness and participation ability, innovative tools of public participation, perfecting the protection system of public participation, establishing an incentive mechanism for public participation, strengthening the organization and channel construction of public participation.
