Research Of Knowledge Management On Project Consulting Based On CBR

With the advent of the knowledge economy, knowledge has become the core of innovation. The starting point of knowledge management regards knowledge as the most important resource, and hold the point that to access and use knowledge adequately is the key to the improve the competitiveness of enterprises or organizations. The important goal of knowledge management is to seek the most appropriate knowledge in the most appropriate time and transfer it to the most appropriate person, in order to enable the enterprise or organization to make the best decisions and create maximum value. Knowledge management has become the source of a modern enterprise's core competitiveness. Construction industry is the pillar industry of the national economy. So undoubtedly, to study the way of the efficient knowledge management in projects, has important and special significances.Case-based reasoning(CBR)technology is one of the artificial intelligence methods which have risen in recent years. It is also a hot issue of the current research. It is an important method to solve problems and to learn based on knowledge. It derives the solution of new problems based on past instances of success or failure, and is a new reasoning technique that knowledge base integrates with the inference engine. It has been particularly applies to the areas in which there are difficulties to express knowledge with in the form of formulas or models and needs the relatively high experiences. As projects just run for one time, it is difficult to establish a unified model. Therefore, case-based reasoning applied to the project area has a natural advantage. In this paper, this advantage is used in knowledge management of the project consultation.This paper, first describes the research background and the purpose of the article. Then makes a detailed overview of the concepts of knowledge management and the basic principles of CBR technology. Then this paper analyses the internal consistency in theories of both and points out the advantages of the combination of both. And then it specifically describes the key technologies of the CBR used in engineering consultancy. It also establishes a framework model of the project cases, in order to make sure that the case can be identify by the computer. As for the case retrieval, the gray distance is applied, which is the concept of gray correlation analysis to measure the similarity between project cases. Genetic algorithm is also used to automatically obtain the weights of the characteristics of project cases. The validity of the method is proved through an example. Finally, the paper designs a knowledge management system framework of engineering consulting based on CBR, and makes a specifically follow-up prospect.
