In recent years, consulting idustry enjoys a rapid development. With the entry of nearly all the overseas renowned management consulting companies into China,the competition of the industry is becoming cutthroat.It is a subject deserving to study on how the domestic management consulting companies,facing the constant changes of the environment and strong rivals,cultivate their own core competence in order to show their advantages among numerous consulting companies.The consulting companies are typically knowledge-based enterprises, which serve for policy-making. Knowledge is their foundation, with which they can provide good services and make considerable profits, so the research and practice of knowledge management are particularly important for them. In other words,the core competence of the management consulting companiesis gradually developed in the practice of knowledge management, and therefore the key is to carry out knowledge management if the companies want to create sustained competitive advantages.This thesis analyzes and explores the development, constitution of knowledge in project , implementation of knowledge management of the management consulting companies, gives some proposals to carry out knowledge management and analysis by a case ,aiming to make stronger domestic consulting industry by developing the core competence of the management consulting companies.
