China and Korea are neighboring country. They have close geographical position and share the most extensive culture heritage, so the communication also has a long history. Since the two countries established diplomatic relations in August 1992, rapid development are achieved in politics, economy, society, culture and military and security fields by leaps and bounds. Bilateral trade and economic cooperation has been maintained a rapid and stable, healthy growth, with cooperation scale unceasingly expands, the cooperation areas continued to expand, increasing levels of cooperation. China's reform and opening-up policy and diplomatic relations between the two countries make economic exchanges enlarge gradually. Close geographical distance, similar culture and economic complementary become the base of bilateral economic and trade cooperation of rapid development.Sino-Korea trade of value grows from 6.3 billion dollars at 1992 to 156.23 billion dollars at 2009. Now China is the largest trade and investment object country for Korea while Korea is China's third largest trading partner, the third largest export object country and the second largest import source country. In the development of overall economic and trade cooperation, Sino-Korea agricultural trade has developed rapidly. However, in general the development of Sino-Korea agricultural trade is out of satisfactory. Sino-Korea agricultural value of trade is growing gradually, but the agricultural value of trade in the share of Sino-Korea import and export trade is low and declines year by year. For example in 2005, Sino-Korea import and export trade is 111.93 billion dollars while the agricultural value of trade is 3.053 billion dollars, the agricultural value of trade in the share of Sino-Korea import and export trade is only 2.73%. China is in the deficit position on Sino-Korea trade but has kept larger surpluses in Sino-Korea agricultural trade. Therefore Korea takes trade protection means frequently and led to trade friction between the two countries, which influenced the normal and stable development of the economic and trade cooperation.Korea is narrow in land area, poor in natural resources, small in the market scale and its dependence on the international market and economic resources is quite high. Korea is a traditional agricultural country, but since the 1960s, it committed to the development of export-oriented economy and become one of the most advanced industrial countries in the world within only 20 years. Now Korea's domestic market demand for agricultural products mainly rely on imports. This text will base on the theory of international trade including the comparative advantage theory, analyze the comparative advantages of agricultural products of the two countries through the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data. It turns out that China's agricultural product export to Korea has a lot of space.Korea implements excessive protection policies on agricultural and it become one of the most not opened country on agricultural market. A series of tariff barriers and technical standards, safety and sanitation measures non-tariff barriers and Korean traditional thought all become restricting factors for China's agricultural product export to Korea. China's agriculture has been in the state of "negative protection" for a long time, plus our own existing problems in the agricultural products influenced the healthy development of China agricultural trade. This text will formulate corresponding policy recommendations to solve the existing problems so as to adapt to the needs of the continuous, healthy and stable development for Sino-Korea agricultural trade. Since the economic globalization and the all-round development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, Sino-Korea agricultural trade has a broad prospect.
