Study On Regional Development Strategy Of Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area

Relying on Shandong Haihua Group, Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area was established in August 1995, which is a provincial development area. Facing with the rare opportunity of rapid development in Economic Circle around Bohai Sea, Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area must solve such problems as how to make strategy position and how to give full to local comparative advantages in order to rise first in the development of Yellow River Delta. By analyzing the internal and external environment of the area, and combining with the practical work, this article brings forth development strategies for guiding the sustainable development of the area.Using the research method of combining theories and analysis of cases, the article investigates the development strategies from theory and practice. There are two innovations in the article. One is broadening the utilizing scope of SWOT model. The article utilizes SWOT model in analyzing the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats of Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area, supplying scientific basis for making development strategies of the area. The other is bringing forth some concrete strategy measures for Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area, which can guide the development of the area.Firstly, after analyzing the main regional development strategy theories, making SWOT analysis of local strategy environment, and combining with three typical development cases at home and abroad, the article puts forward the development orientation for Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area, that is:Working hard to build up the main battle zone of blue economy development, accumulation zone of emerging and high-end industries, pioneer zone of Yellow River Delta development and demonstration zone of scientific development of Weifang. According to the development orientation, the article formulates the strategic guiding thoughts, proposing to build up a charming and energetic new Binhai City with the integrated development of logistics, education, culture, tourism and business.Secondly, according to the development orientation and strategic guiding thoughts, the article formulates three strategies and strategic measures for Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area. With regard to planning space development as a whole, there should form a structure of "one city, four parks", and should realize regional integration development with nearby counties. In respect of optimizing industry structure, primary industry should be developed appropriately, the development quality of secondary industry should be heightened and tertiary industry should be developed fast. As for traffic coordinate development, there should construct convenient comprehensive traffic networks to join the area and outside, and should pay attention to the coordination of all kinds of transportation.Thirdly, the article proposes several policy suggestions for the development of Weifang Binhai Economic Development Area. There should improve industry services and foster excellent industry development environment, should fasten the construction of dragonhead enterprises and boost the fast development of industry clusters, and should optimize and integrate relevant resources, and promote cyclic economy development model.Finally, the article analyzes the limits of the research and subsequent research expectation.
