From July 1995 the first city commercial bank in China-Shenzhen City Commercial Bank has been established, urban commercial banks, has experienced more than ten years of development. More than ten years of this development, the city commercial banks gradually became the main city finance in supporting economic development in urban areas and have become the most vigor and vitality of one of the groups of the banking system. However, due to congenital deficiency, city commercial banks from the date of birth associated with a range of issues.Such as business failure, poor-quality assets, historical burdens heavy, weak internal control system, coupled with increasingly fierce competition in the banking industry, urban commercial banks, the situation become more difficultThen under such circumstances, how does urban commercial bank try to make breakthrough?Based on the theory of the Financial Symbiosis Theory and Industrial Cluster Theory, the paper aims to elucidate that in order to exist and develop further, city commercial banks in China should orientate themselves in the right market for their business, make full use of their flexible mechanism, good social relationship and operating cost, regard the" small-medium enterprises and urban residents" as their target clients, cultivate some excellent clients, serve for the local economy, provide specific retail service, seek for good managerial achievements and develop the ability of sustainable development. Major study of the following:The first part is introduction, mainly introduced to the background to the study proposed to study the issues and the main content of this study and methods to explain the main innovations of this article points and shortcomings.The second part focuses on the domestic city commercial banks in the market positioning of the theoretical research, and introduced the theory of appropriate scale, industrial cluster theory and financial symbiosis theory.The Third and final part of the market orientation of China's city commercial banks to conduct analysis, first introduced the principles of market positioning, and analysis of China's city commercial banks positioning defects, concludes with market orientation of China's city commercial banks should adopt a strategy.The fourth section describes in order to achieve the previously mentioned market positioning strategy; we should start from what efforts and to propose specific measures and suggestions.
