With the rapid development of global trade liberalization and global economic integration process speeds up, international multilateral trading system has achieved substantial progress, and various free trade area formation, trade liberalization, more and more favored countries. At the same time, trade protection has not brought about by the implementation of the Uruguay Round agreement on trade liberalization and low tide, trade protection is still prominent. In particular, based on fair trade and human health, ecological and environmental protection, consumer protection emerged in a more subtle and "reasonable" trade protection to new development, showing different characteristics and manifestations of the past, countries adopt trade protection more and more frequent, more comprehensive policy measures. In response to the global financial crisis, countries continue to adjust economic policy, led the forces of protectionism in world trade began to spread.Large-scale outbreak of the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis after the increasingly serious problem of trade protection. Coupled with a trade of China is highly dependent country, international trade, the worsening of economic development has brought to our disadvantage. China is in the process of development and transformation, although China's trade in the world economy accounts for a large proportion of the total, but because they do not have the right of the international discourse, often to China's international trade in a passive position. How to deal with the economic crisis on trade protectionism and promote stable and healthy development of China's economy has become a top priority of our foreign trade. Therefore, understanding the protection of U.S. trade policy, trade promotion and healthy development from the point of view, fully aware of trade protection, which is to avoid trade frictions and our continued economic health, the development of China's trade has practical significance.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the protection of trade policy concepts and theoretical basis for the elaboration, this section introduces the meaning of trade protection policy and trade protection policy rationale. In the occasion of the economic crisis sweeping the globe, if the challenges and opportunities of international trade has become the key to China's future lies, therefore, this paper presents several policy recommendations: to improve the trade environment in China; the establishment of trade prevention mechanisms; the establishment of bilateral consultations and coordination mechanism to actively participate in multilateral trade negotiations; strengthening regional cooperation in trade agreements; increasing foreign direct investment; attention to the coordination role of industry associations; adjust the export structure, the implementation of product differentiation and market diversification; adjust the industrial structure, enhance the independent innovation of enterprises and the ability of technological progress; expand domestic demand, changes in economic growth.
