The population of farmers in China is huge, and to strengthen the development of agricultural industry is the basic state policy. As the economy develops fast, the importance of agricultural industry obtains more and more attention from people. Thinking of the practical situation of fertilizer storage and transportation, I believe that how to establish and complete the fertilizer logistics distribution center system in planning, construction and management will have a strong impact on fertilizer resource allocation, fertilizer price stabilization, agricultural industry insurance, increase in grain production and peasant income.This thesis shows us location theory system analysis and empirical research on the basis of theories of economics, management, logistics and operation research. The concept, functions and selecting strategy of fertilizer logistics distribution are elaborated in this thesis.Firstly, the connotation and denotation of the concept of fertilizer logistics distribution center are given. Secondly, the functions and effects are illustrated in detail. And then, the selection rules, objective, influence factor and etc. of the fertilizer logistics distribution center are explained.Based on the authoritative data and investigation material, this thesis analyzes three aspects of location problem, supply, demand and transportation. The selecting objective is to get the lowest cost which consists of warehouse fee, transport charges and labor cost. A selecting mode is set up to solve the problem after comparing the existed selecting theories and methods. In the 6th chapter, the mode is applied to find the global optimal selecting solution with precise mathematical manipulation.This thesis studies the characters of fertilizer logistics. After paper review and practical research, a customized mathematical model is established. The location theory is applied to find a suitable solution of distribution center location problem of fertilizer logistics. Based on the valid data and LINGO software, the model is processed by program language and we can get the global optimal location result.
