The Study Of The Relationship Between Technology Introduction,Independent Innovation And Export Competitiveness

With the international financial crisis and global trade protectionism, China's export faces serious challenges. In the new trade situaton, according to the advantage theory, the key to improve our export competitiveness is technology.In this paper, we take data of high-tech industry for example.Firstly,from different angles such as total tendency,type of enterprises and industries, We elaborate high-tech industry's status quo of technology introduction,innovation and export competitiveness, and find that the three have the same distribution and movements.Secondly, we use qualitative analysis to analyze the technology introduction and innovation's general path on export competitiveness in order to extract mechanism. Then focus on the similarities and differences of the mechanism of the both.Thirdly, we use quantitative analysis to select cost of technology introduction(TI),stock of R&D(RD),net revealed comparative advantage(NRCA),through defination of the specific model form,Johanson test and Granger test to conclude that: both of the technology introduction and innovation have the significant affection on the export competitiviness,but both have hysteresis.However,innovation's influence is much bigger than technology introduction's. Besides innovation is the main way to help enhancing export competitiveness.Lastly, we compare the status quo with empirical results to find the reasons of differences and try to offer policy recommendations.
