The Study On The Economic Development Of Tacheng Based On The Regional Competitiveness

This article takes the economic of Tacheng region as the research object based on the theory of regional economic competitiveness .It is to find the sally port of how to improve the competitiveness in this area through the analysis on the development basis and economic situation. Therewith we provide scientific basis and proposal to the future economic development in Tacheng region.Firstly, the paper studies on the economic situation of Tacheng. Then we construct the regional economic competitiveness index system based on the research on related index model. On this base, we follow the research approach of principal component analysis and use the software SPSS to evaluate the regional competitiveness in this area from eight aspect such as original resource ,basic economic strength, agriculture, industry, services industry, civilian living standards, science&education and urbanization .In addition, we introduce the method of SWOT to evaluate the strength and the weakness, the opportunities and the threats of Tacheng economic development and purposeful come up with suggestions to promote the development of this region.My research result indicates that second industry and third industry is weeker than the first one. And the undeveloped of technology, the lack of high-tech talent and the relative backwardness of the urbanization competitiveness are the important factor what restrict the economic development of Tacheng. On the other hand, the plenteous original resource, the advantage of the good geographic and the preferential policies will be the good factor to the development of Tacheng region. We should make good use of the advantage in this area energetically, so as to catch up with the pace of development of other regions.
