This paper discusses the method of electricity supply price regulation considering power supply reliability. When the incentive regulation is used to strengthen the performance of the electricity distribution utilities, the regulation of power quality and supply reliability must be reinforced at the same time. Aiming at power supply reliability, this paper designs a reward mechanism and a corresponding electricity price regulation method. This paper uses AHP to determine the weights of the efficiency evaluation indices for the distribution utilities, and the indices having higher weight are selected for input and output indices of DEA model. This paper introduces some indices that reflect power supply reliability to DEA model and designs a reward mechanism for the electricity supply price, associated with the results of efficiency evaluation. This paper also studies how the electricity distribution utilities adjust the prices considering the compensation for customer interruption cost. The method of electricity supply price regulation in this paper can not only achieve the goal of regulating the electricity supply price effectively, but also incentive the distribution utilities to improve power supply reliability. This research is expected to provide guideline for the electricity supply price regulation and the management of power supply reliability.
