500kV Step-up substation in thermal power plant is the key and important way to increase efficient use of energy. As the scale of 500kV Step-up substation project enlarges continuously and construction request increases continuously, the planning,organizing and coordinating of 500kV Step-up substation project is becoming more complicated. The thesis studies on 500kV Step-up substation Project in Liaocheng Power Plant and carries out a systematic research on the PMC Mode, and analyses the cause of using PMC and its usage conditions. The existing problems existed in PMC practice and its resolvements are also analyzed and discussed. This thesis analyzes the conditions that Liaocheng Power plant is facing using ways of SWOT analysis. Using modern project management theory, it accordingly puts forwards a kind of PMC mode in Liaocheng power plant project, which covers the four key management requirements in safety, quality, process and cost.At the end of the thesis, it makes more statistics and analysis on the implementation process and effects, and draws the preliminary conclusion. It also puts forward some suggestions for project management.
