Research On The Innovation Capability Of Cluster

The phenomenon of cluster is rising globally because of its particular competitiveness. The cluster theory based on geopolitical proximity explans it with external economies of scale. But this predominance is easy to be counteracted and imitated.The concept of "embeddedness" is introduced to the reseach on cluster in this paper as interdisciplinary study. The core competitiveness of cluster is from its innovation capability. And the innovation capability is related to the embeddedness of the cluster.The influence of the embeddedness on innovation capability is analyzed in two ways:first, the influence of different degree of the embeddedness on innovation capability is compared by choosing typical points. Second, the influence of the embeddedness (include relational embeddedness and structural embeddedness) on innovation capability is analyzed on the view of the spillover of dominant knowledge and tacit knowledge. Then the research findings is applied to the model construction and the case study.The research conclusions of this paper are as follows:There are relationships between the enterprises in the cluster, which could be frgured by embeddedness. The innovation capability is the core competitiveness of the cluster. The innovation capability is related to the embeddedness of the cluster, and the embeddedness of middle-intensity and dibersification is the best for the innovation. The innovation capability can be improved by optimizing the embeddedness of the cluster.
