The Empirical Research On Constructing Core-City Of Dalian Within Liaoning Coastal Economic Zone

In recent years, along with the national continuously put forward the construction of urban areas within the core strategic plan, many economic zone core city construction has been national construction strategy planning objectives. As an important economic zone, the nation has proposed a "one core, one axis, two wings" to Liaoning coastal economic belt in December 2008. The core city concept is hot, and how to construct a set of indexes at its comprehensive strength statistic system to evaluate and measure to promote the development and planning of the core city, currently become an important topic.In this background, firstly, this paper studies the core cities in the city function and the core city of the evaluation methods, and studies the core cities with core-periphery theory, central place theory, pole-axis spatial system theory. According to the related theory and regional economic city circle development theory to define core cities, the core cities in a certain economic area can lead geographical location function, concentration location function, technology and institutional innovation function.Secondly, based on the core city, economy, population, S&T education, socity, environment, opening-door which are six level 39 indexes construct the evaluation index system of the core city is by two kinds of quantitative analysis method:principal component analysis and entropy empowerment. To construct the core of dalian city Liaoning coastal economic belt comprehensive strength, using coordinate index analysis of the long-term development of the measured six subsystem, at the same time, selecting 8 cities which has proposed the core city target compare with dalian by the same index system and evaluation method.Through the analysis the conclusions is that Dalian in Liaoning coastal economic zone as the core city construction comprehensive strength rise steadily year by year, the coordination degree of six subsystem which are population, economy, S&T and education, society, environment, opening-door decreased year by year. But in eight core cities with the comprehensive strength of comparative analysis, the comprehensive strength of the Dalian is in third place, and the comparative advantages are urban environmental protection and social development in the core city construction.
