Research On Dalian’s Core Position Of Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt

Developing and opening of Liaoning coastal economic belt with Dalian being the core isvery significant to revive the old industrial base, and the harmonious development of theregional economy and to expand the opening to the outside world. Being the ‘one nucleus’ ofthe overall layout framework of Liaoning coastal economic belt, the core city status of Dalianmust be ascended. Therefore, in order to seek for a better and faster way of developing theradiation and attracting function of Dalian city as it being the core position, overall plan thehuman, financial and material resources involved in the processes of construction anddevelopment in the Liaoning coastal economic belt, and allocate the resources effectively, andcoordinate the relations with Liaoning coastal economic belt and the other cities within it, it isnecessary to ascend the strategic value and economic effect of the core status of Dalian in theprocess of development and construction in Liaoning coastal economic belt.This research starts from general methodology by collecting related experts and scholarson regional economic integration theory, regional spatial structure theory, the theory incoastal economic development zone at home and abroad. It combines normative theory andempirical analysis method. It mainly analyze various phenomena and relationships in processof construction and development in Liaoning coastal economic belt of Dalian from the angleof the normative theory using the theory of regional integration theory, regional spatialstructure theory, and reveal all sorts of law in combination with the actual development ofDalian being discussedFirst, this research, analyzes the dialectic relationship of Dalian in Liaoning coastaleconomic belt from the analysis of the development and Dalian in Liaoning coastal regioneconomic interactive development and summarizes the status and functions of thedevelopment plan, and identifies the interactive relationship between Dalian and Liaoningcoastal economic belt;Second, based on the SWOT analysis method, the research comprehensively deals withthe advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats in the process of constructingDalian in Liaoning coastal economic belt and analysis the potential core status and positionroot of Dalian in the process of construction and development.Finally, the research analysis the thought and principle of the core status of Dalian inLiaoning coastal economic belt and what’s more, puts forward several countermeasures tofurther enhancement of the core status of Dalian in the plan of Liaoning coastal economicbelt.
