Study On The Operation Patterns Of China's Air Logistics Based On The Theory Of Value Chain

With the rapid growth of china's GDP, the sustained increase of international trade, the unprecedented change of transportation structure and the popular of modern logistics, the demand of air transportation in national economy is increasing rapidly, China's air transportation industry goes into a new round of rising cycle which promoted the China's air transportation to modern air logistics. However, the operation patterns of domestic air transportation is backward than foreign from the current situation, which seriously constrain the change of China's air transportation to modern air logistics.Based on the summarized of relevant literature and definition of core concept, this paper attempted to study the characteristic, the value chain, and the operation patterns based on the value chain of air logistics; then, this paper studied the typical operation patterns of some developed countries' air logistics, and explored the operation patterns of china's air logistics in order to provide some feasible ideas and methods to the development of domestic air logistics.The first chapter of this paper presented the research background, the research significance, the research contents, the research framework, the research methods and main innovation of this paper. The second chapter summarized the related literatures of value chain and air logistics, defined the concept of air logistics and operation mode, namely:air logistics is the entity flowing process of goods from the supplying place to the receiving place transported mainly by air freight, which organic combining of cargo collection, shipping, entering and leaving port business, storage, distribution and information processing and other basic function according to actual needs, forming a complete supply chain to provide multi-function and integration of comprehensive services to users; Operation patterns is the business entities' management process and operational approach to the activities involved in the production and operation process, which is a complete set of operation system set up by business entities in order to achieve some goal. Combining air logistics' related characteristics, the third chapter proposed two operation modes of air logistics based on studying its value chain:the operation patterns of air logistics based on the airport and the operation patterns of air logistics based on the airline. The fourth chapter studied the operation patterns of some developed countries, and summarized its experience. Relying on the value chain theory, on the basis of referring to the experience of developed countries, combining air logistics characteristic and the current operation mode of China's air logistics, the fifth chapter proposed six operation patterns of air logistics that china can draw lessons from: the operation patterns of air logistics park and aviation hub based on airport, the modern comprehensive logistics serving mode, strategic alliance mode, the supply chain management consulting serving mode, the basic business serving mode and the personalized logistics serving mode. The sixth chapter summarized this paper, and analyzed the further researching problem.
