| In recent years, the high-speed railway has obtained a rapid development in China. On the background of accelerating the establishment of a comprehensive transportation system, the construction and operation of high-speed railway has a great impact on the allocation of transport. The ticket level of high-speed railway and the price ratios between high-speed railway, highway and civil aviation is becoming an important lever to adjust the transport resources. Therefore a depth study on the determine factors of price ratios between different transportations and find a reasonable method to promote the ratios has a positive significance, not only in the operation of high-speed railway itself but also in the construction of our integrated transport system.Firstly, the paper analyzes the present competition situation of our passenger transport market. Based on this, we summarize the fare strategies of various transportations and point out the existing problems. Then, the study gives a comprehensive introduction of the main high-speed railway operations and fare price ratio situations abroad. And then in the core part, the paper proposes efficiency price ratio model and analyzes the competitive advantage of high speed railway. The model not only considers technical features of different modes of transportation, but also makes coordination between the external cost-effectiveness and competitive relations. Through the empirical estimates of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, highway and civil aviation, we conclude that the reasonable ratio range is like this:high-speed rail Price:Highway Price:civil aviation Price=1:0.58:1.38～1:0.60:1.43.The paper draws on my professor's research project in the Ministry of Railways, and makes a comprehensive usage of the approaches in micro-economics, transport economics and other disciplines. The study deeply analyzes the price ratios of high-speed railway and other modes of transportation, which has a strong theoretical and practical significance. |
