Looking at the contemporary economy, the service sector and service trade, as the main content of the rapid rise of the service economy, has become the world's salient features of economic development. The growing trade in services has become a link between the global economic and trade activities and business cross-border production and operation, with special features and important position in the global industry and the market integration process. Services sector occupy an increasingly important place in a country's economic and trade, trade in services has become an important content in contemporary international competition, and whether have a competitive service industry and service trade has become one of the keys for a country to compete in the international to become winners; in particular the development of modern information technology, resulting in a number of non-tradable nature of services to be a breakthrough, thus making the service sector continued to strengthen global nature of production and, to some extent, become a country's overall degree of internationalization to deepen the foundation, making the situation of trade in services to improve the competitiveness of the country's overall international competitiveness of great significance.This paper begins by describing the research background and significance of trade in services, and the overview of competitiveness of trade in services at home and abroad; including the status of the competitiveness of trade in services, the evaluation indicators of the competitiveness of trade in services, and sources of the competitiveness of trade in services and so on, and on this based there gives the perspective of this paper, which is to compare the competitive gap of Chinese and American trade in services through, particularly at the gap of sector structure, so as to come right some of the thinking of the recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of China's service trade.The second part of the article focuses primarily on some basic concepts of trade in services, and proposed the index system in the competitiveness of the structure of trade in services sectors,and identified this evaluation services trade competitiveness indicators in the paper. The third part is given under the second part of the competitiveness evaluation index, using large amounts of data for comparative analysis of trade in services between China and the USA, the traditional trade in services such as transport, tourism and modern service trade such as communications, finance, insurance, computers, and information services, patent and licensing costs, pointing out that the gap between China and the USA in terms of competition, especially in the gap of modern service trade, but they turned around in the modern service trade finance, patents and licensing costs the gap is even worse.The key of the fourth part is to build regression analysis of trade in services, as well as the impact of competitive factors of the sector (transportation, storage, finance), as human capital, technological progress, the level of development of domestic services, as well as trade in goods to analyze the extent of affecting their competitiveness, pointing out that for the competitiveness of China's service trade, the impact of service level of development and trade in goods are even more significant for some, but human capital and technological advances that their impact is smaller, while for the U.S.,On the contrary, the degree of influence on their trade in services of human capital and technological progress is more visible, while the impact of the level of development of domestic trade in services is smaller. And this shows that China's service exports is the traditional export-oriented in the extensive trade in services, while the United States is based on a modern intensive export-oriented trade in services.Part V is based on the analysis results of ChapterⅢandⅣ, put forward four areas reflection to enhancing the competitiveness of trade in services:increase investment in human capital, develop top talent, build competitive advantage in trade in services; promote technological progress and innovation to improve the competitiveness of trade in services; improve the level of development of domestic service industry, especially the level of development of modern service industry, provide a solid foundation to enhance competitiveness in trade in services, especially modern service trade competitiveness; play in synergy of trade in goods and services trade, optimization the structure of trade in goods, so as to drive structure optimize of trade in services, improve service trade competitiveness.
