In the 21st century, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) has become the core of corporate competitive strategy, the catalysis for profit growth, and an effective means for enterprises to improve efficiency and competitiveness. Enterprises aiming to successfully implement ERP systems, however, are initially faced with the challenge of choosing the suppliers of software. Whether an ERP software supplier is appropriate is a strong determinant of the success of ERP system's implementation, operation and maintenance. How to evaluate and select suppliers which bring appropriate system and service for enterprise and reduce the risk of ERP implementation has become an important issue to enterprises. Therefore, this article topic has certain practical significance.The main content of this thesis is as follows:Firstly, based on related document reviews and expert interviews, the thesis summarizes the five principal factors and the forty-three specific factors which influence the ERP software supplier selection, regarding the characteristics of the ERP software selection project.Secondly, concerning the result of expert interviews, this thesis establishes a questionnaire on ERP software supplier selection, forming a formal survey measuring scale after a small-scale pretest and modification.Thirdly, with the reliability and validity of the questionnaire testified, the survey data are analyzed by statistics software SPSS 13.0, concluding main factors under each pincipal factor. Naming these factors according to the content they included, this thesis has eventually conducted a complete set of ERP software supplier selection evaluation system.Fourthly, according to the ERP software supplier selection evaluation system, this thesis evaluates the ERP software selection of a specific enterprise with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Gray Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation, and explains the rationality of the index system, indicating some points which worth consideration of small and median-sized enterprise.In a word, the research of this thesis helps enterprises promote recognition of the influential factors and the process of ERP software supplier selection, and provides reference for the evaluation of ERP software supplier selection.
