At present, China's agricultural mechanization development has entered the intermediate stage, the state has increased subsidy efforts to support agricultural machinery purchase, as well as the rapid development of agricultural mechanization, therefore, an in-depth study on influence factors of regional economic and social development and the prospects of different agricultural machinery management organization models is urgently needed. Because it is of great significance in promoting the development of agricultural mechanization, in accelerating the transformation of China's traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, and in accelerating the building of socialist new rural. With the objective of providing theoretical support for the selection of regional agricultural machinery management organization model, and the research idea of field research and literature research combined, the qualitative and quantitative combined, this paper made a more in-depth study mainly in five aspects, respectively: the theoretical definition of agricultural machinery management organization model, the theory basis of regional adaptation study, China's regional division of agricultural mechanization development, the identification of key factors of regional adaptation of agricultural machinery management organization model and the selection of regional agricultural machinery management organization model. The major findings and conclusions are as follows:(1) Analyzed the evolution process of China's agricultural machinery management organization model, and the nature and implication of different agricultural machinery management organization models in various stages, on the basis of field research and literature research, then an theoretical definition was made, namely: Collective Management Organization Model, Individual Management Organization Model, JointManagement Organization Model, Cooperative Management Organization Model and Business Management Organization Model.(2) Outlined the basic concepts and theories of regional adaptation research combined with China's national condition and theoretical research of related subjects, made initial discussion of the regional adaptation research theoretical basis of agricultural machinery management organization model, as the basis for further study.(3) A index system of agricultural mechanization development evaluation was constructed, composed of three level indexes and ten secondary indexes, by comprehensive consideration of the benefits and cost of agricultural mechanization development, determined the weight of each index by expert investigation and comparative analysis; divided China's agricultural mechanization development into five regions by using integrated scoring and fuzzy cluster method, with the statistical data of thirty-one provinces and municipalities in 2006; revealed the characteristics and bottleneck of agricultural mechanization development between and inner regions by comparison.(4) DEMATEL method was applied to set up direct effect matrix in order to seek integrated effect matrix from the view of interactional relationship among influential factors of the regional adapTab.ility of agricultural machinery. Calculated the influence degree, the affected degree and centrality for every factor, and then six key influential factors were identified, namely: investment profiTab.ility of agricultural machinery, industrial level, the construction level of local agricultural mechanization development planning and policy, cultivated land area per household, regional natural environment, the subsidy effort for agricultural machinery purchase and the construction level of agricultural machinery service system.(5) Analyzed the selection principle and basis for agricultural machinery management organization model, made analysis and discussion with qualitative and quantitative combined for the appropriate agricultural machinery management organization model in five regions, from the view of seven key influential factors and the theoretical definition, and then identified the appropriate agricultural machinery management organization model for each region.
