The Research For The Relationship Between Knowledge Absorptive Capacity And Public Sector Performance

Besides economic competition, the competitions between public sectors include their capacity, performance and so on. Therefore, to improve public sector performance is important to our international status. With the economic system reform, people and social organizations will demand better management and services. A performance-oriented public administration system is important to construct service-oriented government, enhance public confidence, guarantee smooth communication, lower administrative costs, improve administrative efficiency and legitimacy and improve public satisfaction. Specialists and scholars have put forward numerous means, including better performance appraisal method, appropriate performance goals, effective motivation mechanism and so on.This article came from the relationship between knowledge absorptive capacity and enterprise performance. I try to prove that knowledge absorptive capacity affects public sector performance, then, put forward new measures to improve the performance from this perspective. Hypothesizes came from New Public Management theory, Learning Government theory and Government Performance Appraisal Theory. I visited some public sectors and sent Questionnaires by E-mail to collect data. The researches on the data show that knowledge absorptive capacity affects public sector performance.According to this conclusion, I mend some suggestions to improve public sector performance from the perspective of knowledge absorptive capacity.
