Servant leadership is an understanding and practice of leadership that places the good of those led over the self-interest of the leader. As a new leadership style, empirical research of servant leadership is still in its infancy now.The purposes of this master thesis were to investigate the servant leadership as well as its relationships with trust in leadership, organizational citizenshipbehavior and turnover intention under the background of Chinese culture. Questionaire survey was taken as the main method, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were also applied for date analysis. The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly, the research discussed the demographical variable's effects on servant leadership. The demographical variable included sex, age, academy degree, units character , position and service year. We found that age and position had no significant effects on dimensions of servant leadership; sex had significant effect on Pioneering for progress; academy degree had significant effects on every dimension of servant leadership; units character had significant effects on vision, integrity, pioneering for progress, empowerment and respecting employees; service year had significant effects on integrity, pioneering for progress, empowerment, respecting employees and developing employees.Secondly, the research discussed the relationship between servant leadership and outcome variables. We reach the conclusions as follows:six dimensions which were vision, willing to contribute, common touch, developing employees, pioneering for progress and caring for employees can positively predict trust in leadership; organizational citizenship behavior was predicted positively by four dimensions which were vision, integrity, common touch and develop employees; the dimension that caring for employees predicted negatively turnover intention.Thirdly, the research discussed the mediate effects of trust in leadership by hierarchical regression analysis. The results showed that trust in leadership not only partly mediated the relationship between servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior but also the relationship between servant leadership and turnover intention.
