Research Of Ecotype Small Town Planning Based On The Smart Growth Theory

Small town take a very important part in new period of our Country's rapid urbanization process,it is the link between city and rural and the of city-rural coordination development. However, due to small town's own inherent limitations such as lack of scientific planning, extensive economic growth mode etc.followed with its rapid development, small town have conflicts like environment deterioration,resource shortage,lack of follow-up power,it restricted the further development of small town's society and economy.So change the existing growth mode of small townand build high active ,steady and sustainable ecotype small town are the current important task of our Courty.The study based on the point of Smart Growth and experience of ecotype small town's planning and construction,combined with the Guquan Town Xuancheng City's development status,discuss the meaning of our ecotype small town and the relation between Smart Growth and Sustainable Development,to achieve the amalgamation of Smart Growth and ecotype small town.The paper first expatiate the background,signification,aim and thinking of this study.Though the analyse of Smart Growth and ecotype small town,discuss the Chinization of Smart Growth,we want to provide a new method to our County's harmonious ecotype small town construction;And then take Guquan Town for example ,through the research of function location,land use,space structure,traffic planning and landscape ecologe during the process of ecotype Guquan town's construction,consummate the existing planning idea and technique method and gain theory and practice two-way expansion.The reseach gave some suggestion and considered that,it is viable of using Smart Growth Theory to guide the construction of ecotype small town.By using Smart Growth,we can avoid the choke point of Sustainable Development of small town from root and improve the developing space,inhance its inside and outside power,and put the development and environment to a same class,centralize the resources to guarantee the harmonious and smart development of ecotype small town.
