High-carbon natural gas contains a high proportion of carbon dioxide. Such gas can be directly used, or can be used for commercial or civilian fuel gas through simple decarbonization. High-carbon natural gas contains a high proportion of carbon dioxide as non-conventional natural gas resources, and it is difficult to be directly used as fuel gas; if being turned into conventional natural gas, it can not avoid environmental pollution caused by the carbon dioxide or natural gas efficiency problem. In this paper, we study the comprehensive utilization chemically based on a gas production in Northeast which contains about 20% carbon dioxide in order to effectively using this type of unconventional gas resources to meet the urgent demand of national economic development for resources. In this paper, we analyse the utilization of natural gas with high carbon dioxide by two aspects:first aspect, turning this high carbon dioxide gas into conventional natural gas through the decarburization, then using the carbon dioxide removal physically or chemically; second aspect, analysing the comprehensive utilization chemically based on the high-carbon natural gas characteristics. The analysis shows that the chemical utilization of natural gas resources has better technical and economic benefits and social benefits. However this high carbon dioxide makes up a lack of carbon of conventional natural gas, in particular, it is consistent with the requirements of adding carbon in the process of transformation of natural gas to propylene, so to fully make use of carbon dioxide and this type of natural gas resources. In this paper, we find a product chain from high-carbon natural gas to propylene, and stemming from this viewpoint, this paper analyzed the way of comprehensive chemically utilization of high-carbon content natural gas, along with the proposal of comprehensive utilization chemically of high-carbon natural gas.
