with the development of mankind social progress and merchandise economy, the development of meeting exhibition industry also advances by leaps and bounds, and according its characteristics of wide economy radiation scope, The meeting exhibition industry become one of the most important mark for measuring economy prosperous and social progress for a country. The meeting exhibition industry not only directly brings contribute to economy in the city, but also arouse "the consumption chain of third industry". According to this, the influence to city travels of the meeting exhibition is caused deep concern by the scholar. This text takes the example of Urumqi Foreign Economic and Trade Fair (Urumqi Fair for short), and studies the influence of long-term affairs to Urban Tourism.At first, this text elaborated to the foundation concept of meeting exhibition industry and tour in the city, analyzed the inside contact between them, discuss various influence that the meeting exhibition industry brings for the development of city tour. With this tamp the theories foundation of research. On the foundation of existing statistics data, combining the mensurability and representative character of factor, selected the variables which represent the Urumqi Fair development and tour development of Urumqi. To do relativity analysis to selected variable, studied the connection degree for each variable. Use a main composition analysis method to find main composition factor. To do linear regression analysis on the foundation of relativity analysis and main composition analyze. Carry on a metered research to the black related relation of tour for talking over with meeting and Urumqi City.Combining with the questionnaire released in Urumqi Fair, the effect of Urumqi Fair to visitors travel behavior, Tourism image and Tourism Development in Urumqi are discussed and studied in the next three chapters. Research shows that Urumqi Fair has influence on behavior of tourists, in which the middle of the behavior of Urumqi Fair tourists performs mainly in the frequency of their travel, stay, choice behavior of accommodation facilities, tourism situation at their own expense etc. In the impacts of Urumqi Fair on Tourism image, the periodic extensive media campaign during Urumqi Fair continued to strengthen people's minds the impression of Urumqi tourism, so tourism image of Urumqi communicates in the context of more wide-area. In addition, Urumqi Fair itself reinforces the tourist image of the "Ancient Silk Road City", "Modern International Trade City of the Central Asian region". What's more, the West Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Forum held during the Urumqi Fair also has on the tourism development in Urumqi on the overall destination marketing, the integration of the tourism industry and the international market, upgrading the industrial structure, the joint development of tourism and other industries in Urumqi. Combining the results of this study, the author finally puts forward to rationalization proposals on the optimizing development of Urumqi Fair.
