Tourism, as the city 's new economy point of growth and pillar industries, theposition in national economy construction increasingly protruding.Between citiescompeting for the war of the tourist market, with the development of urban tourism has entered acompetitive phase of growth.The western border of Urumqi as the capital city, withconvenient traffic and are more focused on the characteristics of folk resources,as thesaying goes" the nationality is the world",in Xinjiang, a multi-ethnic settlements, culturalprosperity of the special geographical advantage of the diverse ethnic and cultural as a bridge, andvigorously promote urban tourism competitiveness, is worthy of further exploration.So-calledtheory to guide practice, taking the tourism science, economics, theory of comparativeadvantage, competitive advantage theory and other theoretical methods, to define the basicconcepts of urban tourism, urban competitiveness,urban tourism competitiveness,and in the Porter"diamond" model the Lausanne International Institute for Management Development(IMD) international competitiveness model,and on the basis of "the C-R model","the D-Kmodel", with reference to the Trinity of the People's University of the model of internationalcompetitiveness and Ni Pengfei urban competitiveness "the bowstring Arrow model",from thetourism competition performance, tourism support elements, tourism environmentbuild three aspects of the city tourism competitiveness evaluation index system.Usingfactor analysis, clustering method to carry out comprehensive analyzes26indicators of thecountry's31provincial capital cities, and pointed out the problems of tourism development inUrumqi, Urumqi, and finally puts forward Urumqi city tourism competitivenesscountermeasures.The full text consists of six parts.The first part: Introduction.
